Morris Mule Trailer After Makeover

A quick, first look at the before and after pictures of the makeover of our Morris Mule trail grade trailer. In upcoming videos we'll show you the details of the process and the products we used.

Bisgear Camp Cookware Set

The folks at Bisgear asked us if we would review one of their camping cookware sets. We said, "Yes!" They shipped the one of our choosing to us straight away.

In this video about the Bisgear Camping Cookware Set I, (1) unbox and review the set; (2) see how much water the pot, pan and one of the bowls hold; (3) use the set to cook scrambled eggs; and (4) have a quick look at how to pack the set again.

This is a small cookset designed to be everything needed for backpacking. The pot, its lid and the pan are made of anodized aluminum giving them non-stick surfaces.

Stanley Camp Cook Set vs. Coleman Stainless Mess Kit 8708

Viewer, Nial Harding asked me a question in the comments of "

" video on our YouTube channel... "If you had to choose between the Stanley Adventure cook set and the Coleman mess kit which would you take? I'm asking because I'm doing a small motorcycle trip and have to cut down on the kit I'm taking. I'm leaning towards the Stanley cook set but at the same time see advantages to the Coleman mess kit?"

It's such a great question. Sometimes it's hard to tell how items compare when looking at product photos on the internet.

On our recent road trip, we camped at Little Goose Campground in the Bighorn Mountains of Wyoming. The campground is beautiful and something of a challenge to reach. The last two miles of unmaintained road will make you appreciate four wheel drive.

We reached our campsite with plenty of daylight left. Little Goose Creek runs swift, clear and about two feet deep. I couldn't resist taking our rig across just for the heck of it.

 bear spray practice

In the video you'll see Bill and I  have a go at bear spray training using a practice water canister. The practice canister works just like the real thing. We're glad we practiced! I sure hope we don't get in a situation where we have to use the spray for real.

A couple of years ago Cris and I decided that prepping would be a good idea. Not SHTF, over the top, living off the land picking bug shells out of your teeth kind of prepping, but something a bit more attainable. We set 30 days without a power grid as our initial goal.

We originally purchased the Morris Mule Trail Grade trailer to use as a bug-out trailer. As we put more of our kit together it dawned on us that if we  can use it to bug out and live comfortably for a month, we don't have to wait for an emergency. We are ready to go pretty much anywhere at any time.

This is what's inside my bug out bag

Hi. I'm Cris with Wobbly Otter Outdoors, and this is what's inside my bug out bag.

Las Cuevas Still Bill looking in cave

Come along with us in the video as we explore some of the caves and discover ten different pictographs (rock paintings) and lots of mortars (grinding holes) created by native people, some 3,000 to 500 years ago.

There's something that touches the heart and soul fondly when walking through a place that families, centuries ago, called home.
