Washington State is a joy to explore. The more of it I get to see, the more I want to go back. This little video clip is taken during a short visit with family. We spent several hours at La Push, Second Beach. This banana slug was seen alongside the trail on the way out. I had not seen a slug this decorated/patterned before. Our slugs at home in Texas are brown; just brown. So the first treat is getting to see a slug of such interesting colors. The second treat, that made this sighting even more special, is the slug is eating a mushroom. What are the odds of seeing this?! I could stay and watch this beautiful creature feed for hours.
