Bandelier National Monument in New Mexico

Bandelier National Monument is located in north central New Mexico. Bandelier is 50 square miles (130 square kilometers) of the Pajarito Plateau in the Jemez Mountains. It has 70 miles of trails, and contains Ancestral Puebloan Dwellings. Over 70% of Bandelier National Monument is wilderness.

Valles Caldera National Preserve

The scenery and wildlife of Valles Caldera National Preserve are spectacular. Valles Caldera is also known as the Jemez Caldera and is located in north, central New Mexico. It's highest peak is Rendondo Peak with an elevation of 11,253 feet (3,430 meters).
